'Bolo Raam' is directed by Rakesh Chaturvedi. And he has come up with a thought provoking
tale but then it is the narrative that takes over the rest of the things.
Story:
The story begins with Raam (rishi) who is locked up in jail on charges of killing his own
mother Archana (padmini). However, what intrigues many is his silence as he doesn't speak.
Apparently, Raam is in a condition of shock and is unable to come out of it, he doesn't talk
or react in any way. In comes the investigating officer Indrajeet Rathi (om) and despite his
several attempts, Raam doesn't open his mouth. Then he gets the psychiatrist Dr.Negi
(naseer) and also interrogates Raam's neighbours Sub inspector Sajid Khan (govind), his
daughter Juhi (disha) and son Sameer (krishan). The investigation leads tol joints. And what
happens hereafter is to be seen on the screen.
Performance:
Rishi Bhutani came up with a good performance and he has potential, Disha disappoints,
another fabulous performance by Om Puri, it was nice to see Padmini Kolhapure coming back,
Govind Namdeo was super, Naseeruddin Shah was excellent though brief, Rajpal Yadav was
wasted. The others could not do much in this.
Music:
'Bolo Raam' music is composed by Sachin Gupta, for this movie background score was not upto
the mark but the one song was touching.
