'Jai Veeru' is a routine formula movie. The screenplay and narration is average. The dialogues are ordinary and script is not written well. It is more of a mass masala entertainer with typical fights, romance, sentiment and comedy.
Story:
Veeru (Kunal) steals cars. His life gets even more interesting when he chances upon Jai (Fardeen) who is an expert mechanic and has a
way to get into any sort of car. Together, both Jai and Veeru form a team and in no time they become best buddies and also ace crime partners. However, as fate would have it an incident takes place which leads to a misunderstanding and this causes a rift between both and they part ways thinking that each has betrayed another. And all this apart there is also the dreaded don Tejpal (Arbaaz) who is seeking the blood of the duo for his own reasons. There are also the beautiful girls (Dia and Anjana) who are the romantic interests of both Jai and Veeru. How does the duo come
out of their crisis forms the rest of the story.
Performance:
Kunal Khemu gave excellent performance. Fardeen failed to impress. Dia looked ravishing but had nothing much to deliver. Anjana was glamorous to look at and gave average performance. Arbaaz was top notch, Rakesh Bedi, Rajesh Khattar and Govind Namdeo were apt.
Music:
Bappa Lahiri's music is tuneful. A couple of tunes are melodious. 'Tenu Leke' is the pick of the lot.
Verdict:
Jai Veeru being more of a mass entertainer, it cannot be enjoyed with family and nor will interest class audience. Jai Veeru can be rated as a below average movie. | |
