'Paa' is directed by R.Balakrishnan. And he has come up with a thought provoking tale and both the
presentation and narrative were good.
Story:
An exceptional tale, the story revolves around Auro (Amitabh), a thirteen year old boy who is
suffering from a very rare disease. He has Progeria, a genetic defect that makes him look five times
older his age. Auro lives with his mother (vidya) who is a doctor and he doesn't know the details of
his father. Though he has the illness, Auro is a cheerful and intelligent kid and the story takes a
turn when he meets his father Amol Atre (abhishek). Amol is a politician who has got strong ideals. All
this forms the rest of the story. And what happens hereafter is to be seen on the screen.
Performance:
Abhishek Bachchan came up with an elegant performance and made his presence felt, Vidya was a
revelation and she has proved that there is a strong performer inside her. The real show stealer was
undoubtedly Amitabh who literally makes the viewers forget his majestic presence and gets you into the
character. Paresh Rawal was excellent, Arundhati Nag was average, Jaya Bachchan did justice to her
role. the others did their bit and added value to the film.
Music:
'Paa' music is composed by Ilaiyaraja. The background score was top notch and the music was
neat.
